THE DISCORDANT TALE

PROLOGUE
The Discordant Age
Welcome to the lost time,
Surreal like a dreamland
Ponies, once free
Only slaves toyed by a mischievous beast…
Born as a mockery
Distorted mirror of harmony
"Where's the fun in making any sense?"
Senseless disharmony grows as He plays,
And they listen,
The discordant notes…
"I have a vision of this world
and those little ponies:
Their precious home
bent by my will, wronged and broken…"
Play with their minds
Rewrite laws of their lives repeatedly
"Like puppets they dance in my hands."
Their world upside down
Their joy turned into insanity
"My desire's the law."
"Wherever I roam
Will decay take its place,
pandemic spread over the land."
Lord of asylum
Infecting the wounds of fellowship
"Chaos lives within us all."
Senseless disharmony grows as He plays
And they listen
The discordant notes…
Chaotic wasteland
Where their homes once stood in blissful peace
"See how my visions come true."
"No plead nor misery can affect me
to change my ways, what I aspire for…"
"Under my will, Chaosrealm…"

Pinkie Pie set the bouquet of flowers down at the base of the statue and stared at them for a long time. They were the best roses that the florists had on demand. The colours were the brightest she had ever seen for roses. Their petals shone a vivid red in the morning sun, the perfect contrast to their bright green stems, wrapped in a small, white silk band that prevented the thorns from jabbing her mouth.
She sat down in front of the statue, staring at the flowers, not sure if she wanted to look up. Everything was so bright that day; even the grass stood out more than normal, its bright green felt stretching out towards Pony

His gold and blue uniform was covered in a transparent substance that had the same consistency as water but with a lighter blue tint. The Willowers had waged this war against them, and he would never rest until he and his fellow Equestrians had shown these bloodless abominations who truly ruled this land and that they would never stop defending it! It was a typical day the the Ponyville Ghostbusters Headquarters. Everypony was busy and hard at work. Tex and Riotfire were working on the Ecto-B vehicle. Tex, a tall black stallion with a perfectly styled brown mane, had been with the Ponyville Ghostbusters for the past 10 years. It was his life and he would not have it any other way.
"I can't believe B blew a gasket." he said in a gruff voice.
"I know you love it Tex, but B is an old car and it's going to have problems from time to time." replied Riotfire.

And Lo, for the new saga of tragedy, wonders, ham and ponies has been unleashed!
That's right, I'm finally ready to submit the first part of The Discordant Tale, a sequel to The Nightmare Epic. This time with a varied collection of songs provided by different metal bands over the saga. The Prologue is adapted into Kamelot's "March of Mephisto", suitably epic and menacing song to depict the era of misery and unhappiness known as Discord's Reign.

This is part 1 of the epic poem "The Discordant Tale", a retelling of Discord story arc from “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” adapted into music and style of different metal bands. Poems will follow the musical direction of the songs, but with an original content.
